An Evening Through the Red Door Fundraiser

In May of 2006, Campbell Becher and friends held the first An Evening Through the Red Door fundraising event, raising $100,000 for the Red Door. The event, attended by almost 400, was held at Brant House and featured both a live and silent auction. Donated items to the auctions included rare wines, original art and a ski vacation in the Rockies.

We are very happy to report that the event committee reconvened in 2007 and held the 2nd annual An Evening Through the Red Door on May 17th at Maro, 135 Liberty Street. Larysa Harapyn of Star! Daily was the Master of Ceremonies for the evening which included live music, great food, an auction of donated items as well as a charity casino. Tickets for the event were $175 with a portion of that tax-receiptable.

We would like to thank all of the committee members who worked diligently on this year’s event: Derrick Chiu, Janina Longley, Campbell Becher, Stefan Pernu, Rod Major, Marla Watson, Lisa Cullingworth, Teri Emerson, Jodi Cohen, Michelle Fox and many others who donated their time, resources and energy in order to make a difference in the lives of the families who pass through the Red Door.
