As you can imagine, becoming homeless and living with 100 strangers in a shelter can be very traumatic for families in crisis. Although families ultimately draw strength from each other, every family needs their own private space where they can grieve and heal in peace. Our new purpose-built family shelter will have a private bedroom and washroom for each family. At our old shelter the lack of space meant that unrelated families had to share. All Community of Hope Campaign donors of $25,000 to $49,999 are eligible to name a bedroom in appreciation for their kind donation which will help to furnish the bedrooms.
