What our families need:

The needs at the shelters can change so it is best to contact us to ensure that we are able to accept your donation. If you would like to donate items to the Red Door, please contact our In-Kind Coordinator at 416-915-5671 ext. 234 or via email at inkind@reddoorshelter.ca

We will be accepting the following items:

  • Non-perishable foods,
  • Hygiene items,
  • New fall & winter clothing,
  • New adult winter coats, & boots (we are accepting gently used winter coats & winter boots as we are in great need of these items). We actually do not need anymore winter accessories as we have TONS!
  • New toys, board games, etc. (Please note: we are unable to accept the following: toys that promote violence (soldiers/war themed, anything containing guns, WWE wrestlers, etc.), toys that shoot/project items (such as “Nerf guns”, water guns) etc.)

We are accepting toys for any of the following age groups: Baby/Toddler 0-3y, School-Aged 3-6y, or 7-12y, and Pre-Teens/Teenagers 13+. At this time, we do have a greater need for toys in the 7-12y category, both boys, girls, gender non-confirming/unisex. We ask all that all toys are new, and unused.

In addition to this, we’re kindly asking that any items intended for the holidays are donated on or before December 22/2022.

It would be helpful if the gifts remained unwrapped.
