Our shelter for homeless families is being threatened. The real estate developer , Rose and Thistle who were working with us on a project for a new shelter has now left our long-term home at 875 Queen St. East in receivership and owes us $50,000. Now, the receiver is planning to sell the site to another developer. Neither group has provided us concrete plans about our future. They plan to develop condos on our site.
