4 fast tips to jump-start your fundraising
- Give your fundraising a boost – lead by example and sponsor yourself to get your fundraising started. Even a small donation of $10 - $20 will help add momentum to your campaign and show your sponsors that you’re serious about achieving your goal.
- Ask 4 family members to donate $50 each. You’ll be well on your way to raising $250!
- Make your fundraising plan. Check out our guide - 4 easy steps to raise $500 (below)
- Take 5 minutes to post on social media and include a link to your fundraising page. There are some sample images and posts below. Your friends will know that you're serious about reaching your goal. Runners tend to raise an extra $100 - $200 from Facebook alone, so take 5 minutes to get closer to your goal and give our mission greater visibility.
How donations help:
$10 – Provides TTC tickets and lunch for a child to attend a recreational day outing.
$25 – Provides arts and crafts supplies for a child to let their creativity flow.
$50 – Provides a child with nutritious school lunches for 1 month.
$100 – Funds an art therapy class to provide emotional support for a child or teen.
$250 – Funds a play day for our children’s program.

Hey friends! I’m running in the B&O Yorkville 5k on September 9th to raise funds for the Red Door Family Shelter. All funds raised will go directly to Red Door’s Childrens Programs struggling to help provide homeless children with happy and healthy memories to carry with them into their new lives.
