Children and Youth Programming
We see all types of families in our shelters, and, crucially, a staggering 60% of our residents on any given night are children.
Children deserve to be safe and carefree. But the trauma, loss and confusion that comes with homelessness robs kids of security, the simple pleasures of childhood, and other positive experiences and opportunities.
This is why our child and youth programs focus on emotional and psychological well-being. Beyond safe shelter, our priority is to help children cope and heal, so they can go on to be happy and resilient, and lead fulfilling lives.
