Letter to our Supporters on Anti-Black and Anti-Indigenous Racism

To all Red Door Supporters,

Thank you for standing up with us and condemning anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism. Your ongoing support of the critical services provided by Red Door Family Shelter allows us to provide inclusive and crucial services to the many homeless families who are personally impacted by the visible and invisible violence of racism.

I am thankful to those of you who have faced racism and are making change for others by sharing your care and resources in support of Red Door Family Shelter. I would also like to applaud those of you amongst our supporters who are choosing to actively fight racism through allyship and resource sharing.

Many of the families who come to the Red Door have lived experience of the injustices perpetuated by the realities of systemic and structural racism and prejudice. You are facilitating the Red Door in helping to break down the systems and structures that perpetuate racism, discrimination, inequities, and poverty. Thank you.
